Convict accused of conning hotel

A prisoner accused of walking out of Ford Open Prison and conning services from a central London hotel was sent for trial at the Old Bailey by magistrates at Horseferry Road court last week.

Jean Claude Perrot, 38, whose address was given as Ford Prison, Sussex, will appear on 1 April for a plea and directions hearing.

Perrot is charged with obtaining property and services by deception between 13 November and 11 December 1997 at the Cavendish Hotel, Duke Street, in London's West End.
