County Estate Managment eyes up Greene King pubs

Pub management firm County Estate Management has said it is interested in buying some of the 158 pubs to be put on the market by brewer and pub operator Greene King.

Danny Rogers, managing director, said the company will be registering its interest with PricewaterhouseCoopers, appointed by Greene King to advise on the sale process.

"We are always interested in available packages on the market," Rogers told newswire AFX News.

He added that County Estate has around ‘"half a dozen" clients who would be potentially interested in acquiring the package, including affiliate Pubfolio which picked up the 545-strong InnSpired estate from Punch Taverns in Dec 2004.
