Crash site restaurateur lost son at WTC

The Harbor Light restaurant in Rockaway, Queens, was just metres from the New York plane crash.

Owner Bernie Heeran, a retired firefighter, lost his son Charlie in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks.

On Monday (12 November) Heeran's restaurant became a command centre and refreshment stop for the firefighters and rescue workers removing bodies from the wreckage.
