Damien Hirst has designs on fish restaurant

Bovine bisecting artist Damien Hirst wants to turn an ex-pub in Devon into a restaurant specialising in fish.

Hirst and business partners Alison Wilson and chef Simon Browne intend to apply for planning permission to convert the White Hart pub in Ilfracombe.

"Damien will provide some works to display and will design the interior," said Wilson.

"We want to have a bar on the ground floor and the restaurant on the first floor.

"It will specialise in fish dishes and game from Exmoor in season, but there won't be any pickled sheep on the menu - unless there is an enormous demand."

This is Hirst's second restaurant business - he was previously involved with the Pharmacy in Notting Hill.
