Dominos sales ahead

Pizza delivery chain Dominos saw sales in the UK and Ireland rise by 15.7% to £63.5m during 1999, the company said today in a trading statement.

At stores open for more than 12 months, sales increased by 4.7% during the nine weeks to 26 December 1999, Dominos added.

The group opened its 200th outlet just before Christmas and recently launched an Internet ordering service for customers.

The company holds the licence to own, operate and franchise Dominos Pizza stores in the UK and Ireland.

Worldwide, there are 6,300 Dominos stores in 65 countries.
