End in sight for Bologna rebuilding
Italian hotel group Starhotels is due to finish building work at its 193-bedroom hotel in Bologna at the end of April.
The Starhotel Excelsior is next to the Sofitel in front of the railway station.
The €13m (£8m) project started in 1998 to combine the former 108-bedroom Starhotel Alexander and the 72-bedroom Milan Excelsior.
The hotel has stayed open during renovation work.
Starhotels, based in Florence, was established in 1980, and now has 19 hotels in Italy plus the 178-bedroom Michelangelo in New York City. It employs 800 people and its turnover for January to June 2001 was €70m (£43m).
