Finkleman makes Friendly move

Michael Finkleman, former managing director of the UK and Netherlands division of Queens Moat Houses, has joined Friendly Hotels as chief executive. He replaces Tony Potter, who resigned as chief executive of Friendly in September 1999, to join Millennium and Copthorne as chief operating officer. Friendly has been seeking a replacement to Potter for the past 18 months.
