Food facility opts for super scrapper system

THE Food Street facility at the busy Bentall Centre retail mall in Kingston-upon-Thames comprises seven foodservice outlets, including Singapore Sam, Fat Jacks, Potters and Nescafé Units - all of which are independently operated. However, as part of their rental agreement, they have joint use of a recently updated dish clearing and wash-up system managed by the Bentall Centre.

The system is based around two Hobart FTN flight dishwashers, one of which is equipped with a "super scrapper" system. Machines feature a heat recovery unit as standard, plus high levels of insulation to reduce heat and noise emission.

Among Hobart's latest smaller dishwashers is the FX15 (above), a compact frontloader designed for minimum energy usage. Rated to handle up to 15 cycles per hour, the machine's opening height of 435mm enables it to take large items or double-stacked racks while operating in minimum undercounter space. Features include a Genius X filter system, self-flushing and self-draining wash pump and low usage of water (under 3.5 litres per cycle). Prices from £3,045.
