Forte gives British style to ex-Dômes
Two former Dôme café-bars are to be relaunched in a traditional-British style.
The outlets, at London's Regent Palace and Forte Crest hotels, have already been renamed Johnston's, but full rebranding will include a new menu and decor taking the focus away from France.
The two former Dômes were retained by Forte when the Pelican Group bought 13 of the 16-strong chain earlier this year (Caterer, 5 May), primarily for conversion to the Café Rouge brand.
A Forte spokeswoman said the new menus would be based on "traditional British cooking with a modern twist".
A third outlet, in London's Regent Street, the site of Lord Forte's original milk bar in 1935, was also retained by the company and was this week rebranded Café Noir.
