Four Seasons plans third hotel in UK

Four Seasons is to develop a third hotel in the UK.

The 120-bedroom resort hotel will be at Hartley Witney, near Hook in Hampshire. It will be developed from a historic mansion dating back to 1827, part of which is Grade I-listed.

Restaurants, meeting and banqueting rooms, a health club and a spa will be among the hotel's facilities. Six golf clubs are within a 10-minute drive.

The building was previously the headquarters of an international computer company, Systems Union Holdings.

It was sold for £7.75m to property developer Rochamel Construction last month, which is converting it on behalf of Four Seasons. The agent was Strutt & Parker.

Four Seasons' other hotels in the UK are both in London - at Park Lane and Canary Wharf.

The company also announced last week that it was developing a 120-bedroom luxury hotel in Florence.
