Gang of four to launch global alliance
Hotel groups Kempinski, Pan Pacific, Wyndham and Rydges have teamed up to launch a worldwide marketing alliance.
The four hotel groups, which are dominant in Europe, the Pacific Rim, North America and Australia respectively, have created the Global Hotel Alliance with the promise of offering guests "great service, recognition and value across the world". Loyal guests of any of the groups will be eligible for best rates, late check-outs, and complimentary room upgrades.
Paul Lonergan, managing director of Rydges Hotels & Resorts, said: "As smaller and mid-size hotel brands continue to compete in a crowded hotel market against the mega brands, it makes sense to align with like-minded hotel brands, while retaining each company's identity."
