Garrett House move likely

Chef-patron Graham Garrett is considering a management buyout of The House restaurant in London, where he has been in charge for 18 months. It is one of three owned by Searcy-Corrigan Restaurants.

Garrett said: "We are at a very sensitive period, but there is a strong possibility of a management takeover."

He leads a brigade of three chefs at the 55-seat restaurant with private rooms in Milner Street, Chelsea.

Garrett said he did an average 45 covers a night with lunch being a more variable 15-30 covers. Dinner costs £27 and lunch £18, both for three courses.
