Membership of the Association of Wine Educators (AWE) has boomed since it formed two years ago. The new membership directory lists 16 members who between them can provide professional wine-tastings and presentations anywhere in the country.
The association is a national group of independent, professional presenters of wine courses, tastings, seminars and holidays.
One of the AWE's most popular events was Swirl, Sniff & Slurp, at the International Festival of Fine Wine & Food, which was held at London's Olympia last October. The promotion "aimed to de-mystify the tasting process" by showing four distinctive wines, tasted blind.
