Hook Norton introduces new regular beer

27 November 2006

Cotswold brewer Hook Norton is to add Hooky Gold to its permanent draught beer list next year, after seasonal trials proved so popular.

The beer was first produced as a limited edition seasonal beer at the start of 2006, but proved so popular it will no be on sale in pubs throughout the year.

Hook Norton managing director James Clarke said: "Hooky's new beer marries English tradition with American pizzazz. It took real teamwork to produce Hooky Gold as our sales team helped select the hops."

Hooky Gold is the first beer from the brewery to use American hops. At 4.1 per cent ABV it joins Hooky Dark, Hooky Bitter and Old Hooky as one of the brewery's four regular draught beers.
