Hot to trot
EVERY TWO YEARS Glasgow braces itself for Scotland's biggest catering event - ScotHot - when it expects to play host to 450 exhibitors and over 20,000 trade visitors.
For the first time, both Catering Update and sister magazine Caterer & Hotelkeeper are sponsors of the show. Catering Update, in particular, is proud to be sponsor of the Product Awards which will be major part of the show.
There is huge cast list of exhibitors covering food, equipment, style and services. There is something for everyone in catering and hospitality here.
The organiser - Scottish Industrial & Trade Exhibitions - tells Catering Update that features planned include celebrity chefs, cookery demonstrations, prestigious culinary competitions, pub and bar features, seminars on interior design, property, tax savings and hotel management.
New attractions are ScotHot's first-ever Ethnic Food Pavilion, the Scottish Chefs Demonstration theatre and a Scottish Food trail through the exhibition.
John Todd, chief executive of SITE, says: "ScotHot is a show where people come to do business. It is the ideal shop window for the hospitality and catering industry, with all the ingredients for businesses looking to build on their success."
Wine Scotland takes place on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 March and runs alongside ScotHot in a separate hall.
Look out for Catering Update, Caterer & Hotelkeeper and Food Service Management on stand 4111.
