Hotel investors gather in Berlin

Veteran hotelier JW Marriott, chairman and chief executive of Marriot International, will chair the 6th International Hotel Investment Forum, being held at the Hotel InterContinental in Berlin from 11-13 March. The event is the annual meeting point for the hotel investment industry in Europe.

Keynote speakers include Jean-Claude Baumgarten, president of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Le Méridien chief executive Juergen Bartels, Rezidor president Kurt Ritter and De Vere chief executive Paul Dermody.

As well as the opportunity to network over three days, the conference features discussions and panel sessions dealing with various aspects of the hotel investment business. Topics include new growth markets, sale-and-leaseback deals and the value of hotel brands.

Last year's event was attended by more than 900 people from 43 countries.
