Hotel takes top award

A small hotel on the Isle of Wight has scooped an award for business excellence, beating powerful corporations such as British Telecom and courier firm DHL.
The proprietors of the 16-bedroom Seaview hotel, Nick and Nicky Hayward, were presented with the UK Quality Award for Business Excellence last week by the British Quality Foundation at London's Grosvenor House hotel.
"Tourism and leisure is not a hi-tech, glamorous industry, though it is one of the country's largest employers. The industry knows it needs to improve," said Nicky Hayward.
