Hotelier buys Heythrop Park conference centre

Firoz Kassam, owner of the Holiday Inn hotel in London's King's Cross, has bought Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire from NatWest for between £13m and £15m.

The property, which has 278 bedrooms, has been used as a training and conference centre by NatWest since 1969.

The bank put Heythrop Park up for sale in September 1999 because it was being under-used. Agent FDP Savills advised on the sale.
