Hull star to promote good food for children

Hull City Council has recruited the head chef at Venn, the city's only Michelin Red Guide-rated restaurant, to promote the council's healthy eating initiative for children.

Paul Robinson, who had criticised the scheme's new healthy menus, will host a healthy eating workshop at the city's Guildhall on 27 May, which will show children how to prepare and cook healthy and nutritious meals.

A council spokeswoman said it was good to have one of the city's high-profile chefs to promote the project. "The idea is to re-educate the children about taste and eating," she said. "There's nothing wrong with having the occasional burger or fish fingers, if they are cooked in a healthy way."
