Exclusive hotel
The Arora, a 328-bedroom hotel exclusively for the use of British Airways' cabin crew and ground staff, will open near London's Heathrow airport on 1 July.
Carnoustie opens
The £15m, 85-bedroom Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel and Resort in Angus has opened its doors in readiness for the 1999 Open Championship on the adjacent Carnoustie Links golf course in July.
Travel Inn opening
Whitbread is opening a 44-bedroom budget Travel Inn in Margate, Kent. The £2.7m development, which includes a Brewers Fayre pub-restaurant, is due to open on 24 June. It will create 60 jobs.
