Induction-based bag heater

The SmartPak thermal delivery system launched at Hotelympia 2000 keeps delivery bags uniformly warm by means of a circular magnetic alloy plate within heat retentive plastic. When the bag is placed on a special induction charging unit, heat is transferred rapidly to the pellet without heating the bag itself.

A pizza delivered in a conventional bag is typically at 140¼F after 30 minutes compared to 160¼F in the SmartPak. Cost of an induction charging unit is around £1000 while each bag with its pellet insert is about £100.
