London's Ritz hotel in US bookings deal
The five-star, 131-bedroom Ritz hotel in London's West End has signed a marketing deal with US-based group Ritz-Carlton.
Under the agreement, reservations at the Ritz London can now be made using the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company's global reservations system.
"The Ritz London's partnership with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company affords us access to a large base of existing Ritz-Carlton guests," said Giles Shepard, deputy chairman of the Ritz London.
The Ritz, which opened in 1906, has undergone a £40m renovation programme since it was bought by the Barclay brothers in 1995.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and was founded in 1983. It manages 48 hotels and resorts around the world, with a dozen more under construction.
