Menzies buys up four more hotels

Menzies Hotels has bought four hotels from the Royal Bank of Scotland for £7m.

The four hotels, which have all been managed by Menzies for the past three years, are the Leofric in Coventry, Baron's Court in Walsall, Northwick Park in Harrow, and the Liongate Hotel at Hampton Court.

Last month Menzies paid £10.75m for Mickleover Court in Derby, and the latest purchase leaves the group with 20 hotels, all but one owned outright.

Menzies has spent more than £24m this financial year on hotel purchases and improvements and has earmarked £2m for upgrading its latest buys.
