Newcomer joins take-away chicken fray

Compass subsidiary Select Service Partner has taken on the fried chicken take-away market by launching a baked chicken brand called Deli-Chic.

The chicken is oven-baked rather than fried to meet the growing demand for healthier food. Offers range from chicken fillet Swiss BLT (a toasted ciabatta bun, lettuce and tomato, spicy-coated breast fillet and smoked hickory tomato mayonnaise) to wraps, chicken bites and oven-baked fries. Prices are between £4.79 and £2.69.

The first unit was trialled at Victoria station and will be followed by others at business and industry contracts, airports and stations worldwide.
