Novotel finds prime sites in London and Glasgow
Novotel is to build two new hotels in the UK, one in Glasgow and the other in London.
The chain, owned by French group Accor, will put a 205-bedroom hotel close to the Tower of London in Pepys Street, while the Glasgow hotel will have 137 bedrooms and will adjoin an Ibis hotel, another Accor-owned chain.
Construction on both hotels will begin in early 1999.
Michael Flaxman, managing director of Accor in the UK, said: "It is of primary importance for us to find the right location when building a new hotel and I don't think we could wish for better than those of the two new hotels."
