One in and one out at Pride of Britain Hotels

One hotel is leaving and another joining the Pride of Britain Hotels consortium.

The 11-bedroom Mount Somerset hotel in Lower Henlade, near Taunton, Somerset, leaves at the end of the year, just 12 months after it joined.

Its owner, Von Essen Hotels, plans to improve and extend the property and the decision to withdraw it from the consortium was reached by mutual agreement.

The 18-bedroom Studley Priory hotel in Horton-cum-Studley, Oxfordshire, joins Pride of Britain in January.

As a result of the changes, the consortium will have 36 members next year, the same number as this year.
