That's Martini The Martini Grill opens in Fulham, London, tomorrow (28 September). The dining area will seat 40 and serve grilled dishes. Dinner with wine costs about £20 per person. Owners Kit Smith and Malcolm Stewart previously worked for Firmdale hotels.

New wing opens The Westerwood hotel in Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire, opens an extra 51 bedrooms in a new wing this month, bringing its total up to 100. The £2.5m refurbishment includes the re-opening of an 80-seat restaurant. Owner Morton hotels has four Scottish hotels which all have adjacent golf courses.

Marriott reaches 65 Marriott opened its 65th hotel in the UK on 14 September, in the Sheffield suburb Nether Edge. The former Swallow hotel has completed a £3.5m refurbishment including a new 102-seat restaurant and check-in area. The 115-bedroom lakeside hotel employs 130 staff. The final two Swallow hotels undergoing conversion are in London and Edinburgh.

Signor Valentino Signor Valentino, an 110-seat Italian restaurant, has opened at the Mermaid Quay shopping centre overlooking Cardiff Bay. Owner Babak Arabestani has three other Signor Valentino outlets in Caerphilly, Cowbridge, and Swansea.
