Bierodrome fifth
Bierodrome is opening its fifth London beer hall on 15 November. The Kingsway restaurant and bar will run along the same lines as its predecessors by featuring a bar area together with a 70-seat restaurant.
Johnson in london
US mid-market hotel chain Howard Johnson opened its first hotel in London on 3 November. The 120-bedroom branch is the company's second in the UK, and joins existing hotels in Birmingham and Glasgow. The company is also opening another branch in Liverpool on 24 November.
Wagamama moves out
Japanese noodle bar chain Wagamama is to launch its first branch outside central London. The Kingston restaurant is due to open in early December and will target a mixture of local residents, business workers and shoppers.
Clapham club
A bar, restaurant and members' club is due to open at Clapham Common, south-west London, in January next year. The White House will be based in a three-storey Victorian building and consultant chef Pat McDonald will run a seasonally changing menu.
Drones on
Drones, the London restaurant bought by Marco Pierre White and Jimmy Lahoud in May this year, is to reopen on 30 November. The 120-seat Knightsbridge outlet, which has been refurbished, is the latest addition to White Star Line, the holding company launched by Lahoud and White in 1999. The restaurant was purchased from operating company Simpsons of Cornhill.
