Anglo Bistro

Le Petit St Tropez, in Christchurch, Dorset, has been refurbished and is to reopen in November under the name of Bistro on the Bridge. A spokeswoman said the emphasis will change from a French menu to the style of a "modern English" bistro.

Costa Centres

Costa Coffee has announced two new London openings - the company's Shaftesbury Avenue branch opened on Friday 29 September and a new branch on the Strand is due to open in November.

Reading Parisa

The new Parisa Café Bar in Reading opened its doors on 27 September. The 15th to be opened nationally by the Parisa Group, the site is at the Riverside entertainment complex in Reading's Oracle shopping centre.

Livebait goes north

Seafood restaurant chain Livebait is embarking on its first venture outside London. The 150-seat restaurant and bar, due to open in Manchester on 16 October, will be the group's fourth restaurant. Livebait, which has three restaurants in London, is part of the Chez Gérard group.

A First for fish!

Fish!, the restaurant chain owned by Bank Group Restaurants (BGR), is opening its first branch outside London on 13 October. With more than 120 seats, the new Guildford restaurant will have both a rooftop restaurant and a street-level café. The branch will be the chain's fifth.
