TONY BINKS is the new executive chef at the Slaley Hall hotel in Hexham, Northumberland. He was executive head chef at Edinburgh's Caledonian Hotel.

The Tara Hotel in London's Kensington has promoted FRANK DROHAN from reservations manager to groups sales manager.

DAVID CAMERON is to head the Consort Hotel Group's national sales team from its head office in York. Previously he was hotel recruitment manager for the same company.

Whitbread Inns has appointed FRASER WINTERBOTTOM

process and information technology director. He has been promoted from Whitbread Beer, where he was systems and process director.

CHRIS BULMER is to join Whitbread next month as human resources director. She is now group organisation and management development director at GrandMet.

ROY MURRAY has become vice-president with responsibility for European franchisees for Choice Hotels International and will be based in London. Murray previously held the position of vice-president in the USA.

MICHAEL COLLOM has joined the Old House Restaurant in Copthorne, West Sussex, as head chef. He was head chef at the Priory Hotel in Bath.

MARCUS REYNOLDS is to be chef de partie at the Royal College of Surgeons from next month. ac
