Nada Watkins is taking the post of executive head housekeeper at the Millennium Knightsbridge hotel, London. She comes from the Halcyon hotel, also in London, where she was executive housekeeper.

Peter Karner has moved to Middlethorpe Hall, York, as senior assistant manager. Previously he worked as deputy manager at Gravetye Manor, East Grinstead, West Sussex. Karner is joining the company at the same time as Martin Halliday, who comes from the Swallow Group and is being employed as restaurant manager.

Rees Ruchart has joined Mill House Inns as operations executive for the Northern region. His previous job was with Scottish & Newcastle.

Marc Bishop has taken the post of marketing manager with the company. He has moved from Morland, where he worked for 13 years.

Dave Waplington is joining the Falmouth Beach Resort as a chef. Previously, he worked with at the Chy-an-Albany hotel in St Ives, Cornwall.

Jean-Luc Naret has taken the position of hotel managing director at the Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados. He joined the firm from Residence Mauritius, where he was general manager for four years.

Mike Houghton is joining the Manchester-based coffee bar chain, Java, as its first operations manager. He worked as shops manager with Coffee Republic before making the move to Java.

Julia Sinclair has become executive head housekeeper at the De Vere Grand hotel in Brighton. Before moving she worked as a relief housekeeper at Granada's Swan hotel in Lavenham, Suffolk, and previously at the Bath Spa hotel as housekeeper.

Kevin Tattum has been appointed development director for southern Europe (including Britain and Ireland), Africa and the Middle East at Golden Tulip Worldwide. He previously worked with Best Western Hotels.

Euan Mitchell is taking the position of director of distribution with Thistle Hotels. He used to work with Choice Hotels, where he was director of business travel. Mitchell joins the group with Gerard Tempest, who is moving from Regal/Corus Hotels to start his job as marketing controller at the beginning of August.

Tony Antoniou is joining Millennium & Copthorne Hotels as vice-president, human resources. He is joining the company in August from IT education provider Global Knowledge.

Barbara Sutton has taken the post of travel trade manager with Britannia Hotels. She will be based at the company's head office in Hale, Cheshire. Sutton comes from wholesale tours operator Greatdays.
