Martyn Pearn has joined the three-star, 10-bedroom old Vicarage Hotel in Worfield, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire, as executive chef. Martyn previously worked in the kitchen of the Elms hotel in Abbersley, Worcestershire. The four-star, 106-bedroom Fitzwilliam International Hotel Belfast Airport has appointed Rob Baker general manager. Rob was previously deputy general manager at the Europa Hotel Belfast. Golden Tulip UK, the hotel development and franchise company, has welcomed Janet Phelps to the role of revenue manager at the 160-bedroom Golden Tulip hotel in Manchester. Janet has worked in the hotels sector for more than 17 years, latterly in a similar position at the Radisson SAS Hotel Galway in Ireland. Former international sales director for the UK at Accor Hotels Peter Haigh has joined Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. Peter has stepped into the newly created post of European regional director of sales operations and will be based in London. ### Contract catering Avenance has a new operations manager - Roger Verrall. He will oversee business in the south of England. Roger was previously a senior district manager for Sodexho. ### Plus… Karl Evans has joined the Centre art gallery in Warrington, Cheshire, as head chef. He was formerly production manager at the Greenhalghs Bakery in Horwich, Lancashire.
