PKF announces 5% revpar rise across the country

Revenue per available room (revpar) rose by almost 5% across the UK in November 2004, according to PKF hotel consultancy services.

Figures published today show that revpar at UK regional hotels was up by 4.9% to £48.62, compared to the same month in 2003.

Meanwhile London hotels saw an increase of 4.3%, with revpar climbing to £91.24.

The growth was fuelled by an increase in room rates, particularly in London. In the capital, average daily rates rose by 6.1% to £112.29.

Outside the capital, the figure climbed by 3.8% to £66.06.

Occupancy held steady. While there was a 1.7% fall in London, the level crept up from 72.8% to 73.6% at regional hotels.
