Premier Lodge plans two London hotels

Premier Lodge has bought London sites at King's Cross and Brentford to build new hotels, in a total investment of £25m including development costs.

The 277-bedroom hotel at King's Cross will form part of the Regent Quarter, a new area including shops, housing, offices and leisure venues. Building is due to start in September and will be carried out by P&O Developments.

The Brentford High Street site was bought from developer Rialto Homes, which will start building the 141-bedroom hotel in May. It is scheduled to open in June 2003.

Premier Lodge is owned by Scottish & Newcastle.
