Warwickshire's Old Mill to reopen

The Old Mill Hotel & Restaurant in the market town of Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire, has been sold for close to £675,000. A one-Michelin-star holder before it stopped trading in December last year, the Old Mill has been bought by Robert and Christine Lee, who own a restaurant in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The property has three letting bedrooms, a 35-seat restaurant and a function room to seat up to 30 people. The buyers are aiming to introduce Chinese food and develop the business as a wedding and conference venue. Scottish mansion hotel sold for more than £1m

The three-star Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, has been sold for about £1.25m. Set in 48 acres, the Victorian country house hotel has 21 bedrooms and conference facilities. Buyers Eileen and Hugh Wilson, from Glasgow, have considerable experience in the licensed trade. Christie & Co was the agent. Fyne buy for Edinburgh Inns Scottish hotel operator Edinburgh Inns Group has bought the Victoria Hotel in Tarbert, Strathclyde, for close to £550,000. Overlooking Loch Fyne, the hotel has five letting bedrooms, a 38-seat conservatory restaurant and a two-bedroom owner's flat. The purchase increases the group's portfolio to 11. Robert Barry & Co was the agent. Inn Company Group adds to portfolio The Angel Inn in the village of Hindon, Wiltshire, has been sold for close to £545,000. The Gloucestershire-based buyer, the Inn Company Group, already owns 12 pubs and hotels. The Angel Inn has seven letting bedrooms, two bars, a restaurant for about 40 diners and a two-bedroom owner's cottage. Robert Barry & Co was the agent. Durham publicans extend business The Blacksmith's Arms in the hamlet of Preston-le-Skerne, County Durham, has been sold for close to £350,000. The pub has a bar area to seat 30, a 40-seat lounge/restaurant and five-bedroom owner's accommodation. New owner Beverley Hayman and her business partner Brenda Whear, who also own the Fox & Hounds in nearby Neasham, are intending to extend the Blacksmith's Arms opening hours. The Royal Four Towns Inn in Hightae, Dumfriesshire, has been sold for just more than £195,000. The village pub, which has five letting bedrooms and two-bedroom owner's accommodation, has been bought by the Pethick family. Christie & Co was the agent.
