QEII in novel organic menu move

CATERERS at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London are bringing in an all-organic menu option next month in a move described by the Soil Association as ground-breaking.

Kevin Glasby, head chef for Leith's at the centre, has already started introducing organic ingredients. "The range and availability has increased significantly in the past 12 months," he said.

Although the organic menus will cost as much as 25% more, Glasby says clients have already responded enthusiastically.

His main concern is knowing what will be available when planning meals months in advance.
