Restaurants confused over employment law

UK restaurateurs remain confused about the wealth of new employment legislation being introduced by the Government, according to the Restaurant Association.

"Feedback from our membership has reflected confusion about many details of the new raft of employment laws," said association chief executive Ian McKerracher.

He made his comments as the Restaurant Association launched new guidance notes to help clarify the legal requirements of the legislation. They cover trade union rights, family-friendly policies and workers' rights.

The guidance is free to association members. Non-members can buy copies for £2 by e-mailing info@ragb.co.uk.
