Rhodes rumour

The announcement last week that Gary Rhodes and Sodexho had parted company (Caterer, 16 January) has refuelled speculation that the celebrity chef is to open a restaurant at Le Méridien's Cumberland hotel in London.
This week neither side was available for comment, although a spokesperson for the Cumberland said the food and beverage at the hotel, which is being refurbished in an "art and tech" style, had not been finalised.
