Ritchie leaves Lygon Arms

Kirk Ritchie has resigned as managing director and general manager of the Savoy Group's Lygon Arms after 25 years there.

The 65-bedroom hotel, in Broadway, Worcestershire, will be taken over by Barry Hancox, the new general manager.

Ritchie, who said he was "immensely sad" about leaving, plans to set up his own business in the Cotswolds.

Hancox joined the Lygon Arms in 1988 and has previously worked in a number of London hotels, including Dukes, the Montcalm and the Churchill.
