Roadside cafés not truckers' cup of tea
Food at roadside cafés has failed to impress the nation's truck drivers, according to a survey from the Freight Transport Association.
The association's latest Quarterly Transport Activity survey revealed that midday-meal facilities for truckers across the UK scored 2.5 points out of a possible five, where two points was defined as poor and three as acceptable. One was defined as very poor and five as very good.
Truckers in Scotland rated catering facilities there as the poorest, giving them a rating of two on the scale.
The South of England, North of England and the Midlands fared slightly better, scoring just under three points.
