Room yields are up at De Vere

Like-for-like room yields at De Vere Hotels rose by 3.5% in the first four months of its financial year, the company said today.

The figure excludes its Daresbury Park and Belfry hotels where business is still being disrupted by renovation work.

Like-for-like room yields at Village Leisure hotels grew by 2.5% during the period, to the end of January.

The figures were announced following Greenalls' annual general meeting today, at which shareholders also approved the name change to De Vere Group.

This is intended to reflect the fact that the group has sold off its pubs and is now concentrating on hotels and leisure clubs.
