Sandrini scores sale premium

The restaurant formerly known as Sandrini on London's Old Brompton Road has been sold to the Tragara Restaurant Company for substantially more than the asking price of £700,000. It is now being transformed into an upmarket French restaurant, bakery and delicatessen.

The property covers approximately 300sq m over two floors, and the restaurant is expected to open in late summer. Tragara, a new private business, paid a substantial premium for the leasehold.

David Abramson at property agent Davis Coffer Lyons, who completed the deal, said: "This price demonstrates that people are still willing to pay a premium for flagship units in good locations."
