Six Continents names Euro hotels management team
Six Continents Hotels has announced a management reorganisation of its European division.
The changes, which follow John Bamsey's appointment as area president for Europe last autumn, mean Europe will be split into four regions instead of six, with each headed by an area vice-president.
John Ludlow, former director of risk and compliance at Six Continents Retail, has been appointed vice-president of operations for Europe and will report to Bamsey.
The four new area vice-presidents will oversee the Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn hotels that fall within their region.
Heinz Strobel, formerly responsible for Germany, will look after western Europe.
In northern Europe Stephen Mulligan, formerly responsible for central Europe, will oversee the German, Czech and Polish properties.
Southern Europe will be looked after by Luciano Lusardi, formerly responsible for Spain and Italy, while Hans Olbertz will take care of the central and eastern European regions. He was responsible for the eastern Mediterranean
Tom Krooswijk and Ton Nibbelink will continue in their roles as regional vice-presidents of operations for France and the Benelux countries respectively.
