Software monitors hygiene

Described as the world's first fully integrated food hygiene management software, the HMS Hygiene Management System had its first public demonstration at the Total Sandwich Show. System modules include a start-up screen which lists all locations throughout a production area, all hygiene tasks and their dates and the people to whom tasks are assigned.

Each task has a detailed description of the procedures, chemical products and dosages to be used with daily job cards automatically produced for each staff member. When completed, tasks are inspected and their acceptability rated by a supervisor, with the system updated accordingly to ensure due diligence compliance.
