Springboard Awards for Excellence

Nominations are being invited for the inaugural Springboard UK Awards for Excellence, taking place at Le Méridien's Grosvenor House hotel in London on Wednesday 2 April.

The aim of the awards is to reward companies with the most innovative and exiting initiatives in attracting and retaining staff in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector. They will also be rewarding best employment practice.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

Nominations can be submitted by supplying a short written statement about an initiative, company or person and why they are worthy of an award.

Anne Walker, managing director of Springboard UK said: "The awards are a fantastic opportunity to reward and showcase outstanding practice in addressing one of the industry's most significant issues - attracting and retaining people."

There are thirteen prizes in total.

Nominations can be made by individuals, teams or partnerships that have achieved results over the last 12 months.

Entry forms are available on the Springboard website at www.springboarduk.org.uk/awards where there is also information about award categories and what details need to be included on the entry statement.

Closing date for nominations is 14 March.
