Superhighway robbery must be resisted

I think it is outrageous that the AA insists on charging a fee of £40 a year just for maintaining a hyperlink from their website to ours. Once this hyperlink is set up, it costs nothing to maintain and is blatant superhighway robbery.

All accommodation operators should stage a protest and refuse to pay this charge. We already pay dearly to be inspected by the AA, and plenty of web-based accommodation guide operators will put up a whole web page advert and a web link for £25 a year. No one else asks extra fees for a web link - what's so special about the AA? It's just using its muscle to extract further fees from us.
