Troy dishes up jazz at mezzo

Doris Troy was in fine voice as she entertained diners at Mezzo, London, last week at the launch of the Soho Jazz Festival. The festival, which is now in its 11th year, will run until next Sunday. It involves Soho's restaurants co-operating to bring some of the world's most famous jazz artists to the capital.
Among the restaurants participating this year are L'Escargot, the Café de Paris, Thunder Drive and Soho Pizzeria. Musicians appearing in these restaurants include Georgie Fame, Stan Tracey, Benny Green and Gilles Peterson.
