Warner bid for derelict manor

A derelict manor house that has been, at various times, a monastery, a college and a refuge for a reclusive millionaire could be about to get a new lease of life as a luxury hotel.

Warner Holidays, which has six historic hotels in the UK, is expected to buy Toddington Manor, near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, if the local council grants planning permission.

The property, currently owned by an investment consortium, Toddington Manor Investments, has been on the market for the past five years with a £3m price tag.
