Wolverhampton & Dudley rejects Noble House bid

Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries has rejected the £470m takeover proposal from Noble House.

The company, headed by Robert Breare and backed by venture capital firm Botts & Co, was set up in June to target acquisitions in the pub and restaurant market.

Ralph Findlay, finance director at Wolverhampton & Dudley, said: "The offer was rejected on Friday. We had a conversation with Breare on Monday but there was no change to the situation."
