Woodward leaves London
Dagmar Woodward is leaving the May Fair Inter-Continental London hotel, after seven years as general manager, to work in Paris, where she is to become general manager of the 445-bedroom Hotel Inter-Continental.
Woodward was the first woman to be appointed general manager at an Inter-Continental hotel in Europe and a five-star property in London.
She began her career with Inter-Continental Hotels Group in 1975 at the Hotel Inter-Continental London on Hyde Park Corner, where a series of promotions in the food and beverage department culminated in her being appointed food and beverage manager.
She continued to progress through the ranks and, in 1992, became Hotelier of the Year.
